This section is designated for all former Thai students or researchers in Germany. The DAAD Information Center Bangkok in collaboration with the VTD (Verein der Ehemaligen Thai Studenten in Deutschland) wishes to help in establishing a network with and between alumni of all German host institutions within Thailand. The main goals are
to set up a network of experts
to collect and provide information about ongoing research collaborations
to exchange information on existing support programs (EU, ASEAN, ASIA-Link etc.)
to offer each alumni the opportunity to contribute to an exchange of views
to invite experts for lectures on their specific subject and to organize seminars
to help Thai students to find contact persons familiar with the German university system
to support German universities in getting in contact with their former students.
The VTD website: http://www.germany-former-students.or.th contains an interactive database. Any alumni interested can enter the membership section and registrate. You can indicate in which activities you are interested in, whether you wish to receive regular newsletters and whether you would like to get in touch with other alumni.
The DAAD alumni website: http://www.daad.de/alumni is not only for former holders of scholarships granted by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), but also for all international alumni of German universities and colleges, independently of how their stay at the German insitution was financed. Nevertheless some of our services or follow-up supports (individual programmes) are only for former DAAD-scholarship holders.
DAAD Alumni Forum on the Internet Contact:
The DAAD Alumni forum is open to all scholarship holders, Lektors, lecturers and professors who were once or are now supported by the DAAD. The service offers online forums which enable users to make and keep contact with each other, to exchange their experiences, engage in specialist discussions, swap flats or houses, offer internship places, read scholarship holder reports or simply chat "live". To gain access to this protected area register by entering your DAAD personal identification number (PKZ).
