Flag Ship Projects of University Cooperation

There are almost 50 cooperation projects between Thai and German universities/research institutions. The cooperation covers a wide range: from common research projects to collaborations on faculty level or to joint degree programmes. Below, we present you some outstanding cooperation projects.

KMUTNB and RWTH Aachen

The Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS)

The Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS) was jointly established by the RWTH Aachen University and its partner university KMUTNB. It introduces the Aachen model of industry-oriented engineering education to Southeast Asia. The programme is carried out in cooperation with German and Thai industry partners and includes jointly super- vised, compulsory four-month internships and a Master’s thesis based on solving industry-related problems.

Bangkok, Frankfurt, Münster, Passau

German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG)

The CPG is a common institute of Thammasat University Bangkok and Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main, Westfälische Wilhelms-University Münster, and Passau University in Germany. It is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The CPG is located at Thammasat University, Bangkok. Its research and work focus lies on public law and its role in facilitating good governance.
